This Week's Message
Scripture Reference: Galatians 3:1-27
Elder Shawnonne Pickett delivered a powerful message reminding us that because of Jesus Christ, we have been redeemed. Before we were ever born, God saw the need for a Redeemer and created a plan of salvation through His Son. Through His blood, we have been rescued, restored, and brought back into right relationship with God.
The message challenged us to trust God completely and stop delaying our response to Him. Too often we believe we need to "get ourselves together" before coming to God, but redemption was never based on our perfection. It was based on His grace. God is not waiting for us to have it all figured out. He is simply asking for our faith, obedience, and trust.
Through the life of Abraham, we were reminded that faith requires action. At 75 years old, Abraham heard God's voice and moved in obedience. He left what was familiar and trusted God's promise, even when the destination seemed impossible. Elder Shawnonne encouraged us not to waste any more time complaining, doubting, or trying to figure everything out. The time to move in faith is now.
We were reminded that God is faithful to perform His Word and that He continues to watch over His promises. Just as He provided for Abraham and multiplied the loaves and fish, He remains the God of more than enough.
The payment has been made. The promise has been secured. We have been redeemed.
