Hi, WOGFC Family!

September is our Month of Sowing, and this month we’re being intentional about what we place in the ground: Our Seed, For Souls, and In Our Service!

Sowing is more than what we give, it’s how we live. Every act of obedience, every person we reach, every prayer we pray, every gift we use, and every opportunity we take to serve becomes a seed that God can use for something greater. We may not always see immediate results, but we can trust that faithful sowing is never wasted.

So this month, let’s examine what God has placed in our hands and ask ourselves: What am I doing with my seed? Let’s sow generously, reach intentionally, and serve faithfully, trusting God with what happens after the seed leaves our hands. We sow the seed. God brings the increase.

This Week's Message

Don’t Eat Your Seed

Scripture Reference: Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

As we begin our Month of Sowing, Pastor Mitch challenged us with a timely message: “Don’t Eat Your Seed.”

Genesis 8:22 reminds us that as long as the earth remains, there will be seedtime and harvest. Harvest is part of God’s established order but before there can ever be a harvest, something has to be sown.

The question is not simply whether we have seed. The question is what are we doing with what God has given us?

This message has 4 key points:

  1. You Cannot Reap What You Refuse to Sow

  2. You Must Discern Between Bread and Seed

  3. Your Seed Must Survive Invisibility

  4. God Multiplies What Is Sown

Take inventory of what God has placed in your hands.

What is your bread and what is your seed?

Is there something you've been consuming that God has been asking you to plant? Is there a gift you need to use, someone you need to reach, a place you need to serve, or something God has called you to release?

This week, choose one intentional way to sow your seed, for souls, or in service and then trust God with the increase.

Don't eat your seed. Sow it. Trust it. Let God multiply it.
