This Week's Message
Scripture Reference: Acts 8:36-40 (NKJV)
Pastor Mitch continued our Sowtember journey with “Rescue Mission,” challenging us to recognize that sowing is also about souls.
In Acts 8, Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian reminds us what can happen when we remain sensitive to God’s direction and willing to share the Gospel. Philip had an assignment, but he didn’t control the outcome. He simply went where God sent him, spoke when the opportunity came, and allowed God to do the rest.
That same responsibility belongs to us. Our assignment is to sow. God handles the soil, the growth, and the harvest.
This message has 4 key points:
The Gospel Is Seed - Mark 4:14 | Isaiah 55:11
Every time we share the Gospel, speak God’s Word, extend an invitation, or introduce someone to Jesus, we are planting seed with the potential to produce life.
Stop Deciding Who Is Good Soil - 1 Samuel 16:7
Sometimes we miss opportunities to share Jesus because we’ve already decided someone isn’t interested, isn’t ready, or wouldn’t receive what we have to say.
Your Testimony Is Seed - Revelation 12:11 | John 9:25 | Psalm 107:2
Your story of God’s deliverance, provision, healing, grace, forgiveness, or faithfulness may be exactly the seed someone else needs.
Somebody Else May Reap What You Sow
Faithfulness isn’t always about witnessing the harvest. Sometimes faithfulness simply means sowing what God placed in your hands and trusting Him with the results.
This week, intentionally identify one person you can intentionally sow into.
Your job isn’t to make the seed grow. Your job is to sow it.
Every soul is worth the seed. Go on a Rescue Mission!
